Text: Jija Sohn

I would like to show a working progress fragment of Geisha’s Miracle which was premiered last June.
Although I finished premier, I decided to work a bit more for a section that is not complete. That’s is why I came for this residency to make further research. This time, I would like to show the full version by video and my working progress material. And I would like to hear your feedback.

About the piece
In Geisha’s Miracle, three Asian dancers invite you for an equally absurd as rational game. Their world looks strange and exotic, but their attitude is that of habituation. They are already beyond the amazement, and thus opens up in this game a new universe. It is proposed as being shiny and blue, well-behaved and perverse. Behind the masks of these performers, shelter jokes and flashing emotions. If in a ritual, occurs in them a serene transformation. They are child, coach, dog and woman. Geisha’s Miracle is a synaesthetic, physical experience. The visual and musical landscape invites you to immerse yourself in their absurd and detailed world. With the use of dance and movement,.
